Audi A8 Launched in India Price, Review, Specifications

Audi India recently launched their luxurious car Audi A8 in Indian market.The new Audi A8 comes available in both petrol and diesel models.In India Audi A8 will compete with Benz S class and BMW 7 Series.

The two models available in India now are the 4.2L V8 petrol engine and the 3.0L diesel engine.Audi also announced that the most powerful 6.3L 493Bhp powered petrol engine will be introduced in India by the end of this year 2011.

The petrol model now made available is a 4163cc SFI V8 petrol engine providing a maximum power of 367Bhp @ 6800 rpm and a peak torque of 445Nm @ 3500 rpm.The top speed of this engine is 250kmph.With V8 petrol engine Audi A8 takes just 5.7seconds to reach 0-100kmph.

The diesel model  houses a 2995cc TDI diesel engine providing 247Bhp @ 4850-6500rpm maximum power and the maximum torque is 420Nm @ 3500rpm.The top speed of Audi A8 with this diesel engine is 243kmph and takes 6.1seconds to reach 0-100kmph. 

New Audi A8 comes included with all the safety features like anti-theft technology, 8 full body protective Airbags, New Audi pre sense safety system and other features like auto headlamps, 4 wheel drive, Adaptive air suspension, Audi drive select facility, Advanced MMI operating system, Navigation control with Google map..etc.

Audi A8 with petrol engine provides an average mileage of about 6.4kmpl and in highway drives the fuel efficiency is about 8.5 kmpl.With the diesel engine Audi A8 is capable of giving a mileage that ranges from 7-12kmpl.
